About The Temple
The Sri Raja Rajeswary Temple in Ulu Kelang has been a spiritual and cultural pillar for the Hindu community in Ampang and Northeast Kuala Lumpur for nearly 60 years. The idea for the Temple was initiated in 1956 by the late Mr. K. Suppiah, then President of the Ampang Branch of the Malaysian Indian Congress. The first document charting the birth of the Temple is a letter dated 19 November 1956 addressed to the Assistant District Officer for State Land for a proposed Temple building.
